Music, Words and Song for Christmas - a selection of carols, ballads, consort music, lute songs, dance melodies and readings. Passamezzo, an early music ensemble, bring Christmas to life with a seasonal programme that follows the calendar from Advent to Candlemas with music by Attey, Bull, Dowland, Gibbons, Locke, and Purcell; and readings by Breton, Herrick, Shakespeare and Winstanley – selected especially for Canterbury and  performed in historically correct Elizabethan costume.
